Department of Electronic Engineering at City University of Hong Kong

Established in 1984, the Department of Electronic Engineering at City University of Hong Kong (CityU-EE) has been developing rapidly; its achievements are already widely acclaimed in Hong Kong, and fully recognized as comparable to first-rate departments internationally. Electronic Engineering is also recognized as an area of strength at CityU in terms of international competitiveness, critical mass, staff and student research outputs, awards obtained, and state-of-the-art equipment and resources available. The Department has 12 chair professors, 6 professors, 26 associate professors, 1 senior lecturer, and 10 assistant professors. The academic team engages actively in different research activities covering a wide range of internationally significant research subjects, which include applied electromagnetics, RF and microwaves, optoelectronics and solid state devices, control systems, power electronics, wireless communications, networking, and signal and image processing. Currently we have 10 Fellows of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, USA (FIEEE); 6 Fellows of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, UK (FIET); 1 Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK (FREng) and 3 Croucher Foundation Senior Research Fellows.
